Policy and public affairs
The policy team represent CFG members’ views and those of the wider charity sector to government, regulators, policy shapers and decision makers at all levels. We campaign for a better operating environment for charities and challenge regulation which hampers effective use of charity funds. We act as a central point for advocacy on policy issues where charities have a common view and through involvement in working groups, consultation responses and research/surveys, we actively shape policy and legislation. We also keep members up-to-date about new developments that may impact on their daily work and champion high standards in financial management through good practice publications and information sharing forums.
