Trustees' Week

Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity's work. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.

You can find out more about Trustees' Week on on the Trustees' Week website.

Trustees' Week 2014

Trustees' Week 2014 took place between 10-16 November and the two key themes were 'development' and 'governance'.

Trustees were encouraged to tell their trusteeship story in the #onemilliontrustees video competition. CFG ran a number of training events in November covering key topics, such as SORP and Audit Committees, from a trustees’ perspective. During the months of November and December, CFG's Members' Meetings also had a governance theme.

Trustees' Week 2013

Trustees’ Week 2013 took place between 4–10 November. We participated in a number of ways to promote the value of trusteeship, particularly for finance professionals.

Trustees' Week 2012

In Trustees' Week 2012 we hosted a joint event with the Honorary Treasurers' Forum attended by over 50 delegates, centred on the theme of financial sustainability.

We also launched an initiative to match charities which could benefit from additional investment expertise with investment professionals who are willing to use their skills and expertise to help a charity. The project has been highly successful, generating many successful matches. Find out more about the scheme. Please email the CFG Policy Team for further information or to take part, as either a charity or investment professional.
