CFDG Launch 2002 Yearbook

10th January 2002

The Charity Finance Directors' Group yesterday (9 January 2002) launched its 2002 Charity Finance Yearbook. The Yearbook, which is the official reference book and suppliers guide of the Charity Finance Directors' Group, was launched at a reception held at the ICAEW and attended by CFDG members and those who had contributed to the Yearbook.

The Yearbook contains guidance for charity professionals and trustees on a range of relevant subjects from investment, governance and accounting to IT and HR. It also contains a series of model job descriptions and terms of reference for committees and codes of practice for trustees.

The Yearbook, which normally costs £30.00, is free of charge to members of Charity Finance Directors' Group.

The content of the Yearbook reflects the diversity of the work of the Finance Director for whom being a qualified accountant is only part of the story. Geoff Miller, chair of CFDG and Director of Finance at the British Red Cross comments 'Tomorrow's FD needs change management skills, strategic thinking, communication skills, an understanding of technology, and people skills.'
