Money Matters - The 12th CFDG Annual Charity Finance Conference

27th March 2003

As every Finance Director knows, every penny counts! Entitled Money Matters - counting every penny, making every penny count The 12th Annual CFDG Conference is essential for anyone wanting to refresh their skills and keep up-to-date with recent changes in charity regulation, as well as cutting edge financial management.

'Money Matters' covers various aspects of charity finance and management over 20 seminars. With experienced speakers from across the public and private sectors there is something to suit the needs of any finance professional, treasurer or trustee.

The conference topics include Governance Matters, Law, Customer Relationship Management, Mergers, Overseas Charities, Grants and Intellectual Property as well as more standard finance disciplines such as Tax, VAT, Insurance, Investment and Auditing. There will also be a seminar dedicated to aspects of the Strategy Unit report and the Treasury Cross Cutting Review.

Jane Mote of the Community Channel opens the conference with a presentation on reaching the community. Jane will inspire delegates with her ingenuity on revamping the Community Channel on a minimal budget. The Closing Plenary for this year is John Peters, author of Tornado Down, RAF Pilot and PoW in the Gulf War. John will talk about the challenges of change.

The conference will be held at The Royal College of Physicians, London NW1 on 13 May 2003. There is a discount for smaller charities with further reductions for bookings received by the 18 April.

Once again our grateful thanks goes to haysmacintyre who are sponsoring the Conference Programme and The Guardian and Society Guardian who are sponsoring the Reception. We are also delighted to announce that Deloitte and Touche are sponsoring the delegate pack.
