CFDG launches South West and Wales conference

25th August 2009

The Charity Finance Directors’ Group (CFDG) is delighted to announce their first conference in the South West and Wales. The conference will be held at the Park Plaza Hotel in Cardiff on 1st October 2009, and features keynote addresses from Andrew Hind, Chief Executive of the Charity Commission, and Robert Taylor, Chief Executive of Age Concern and Help the Aged in Wales.

CFDG Chief Executive, Keith Hickey, says, “This conference demonstrates CFDG’s continuing commitment to delivering training and conference programmes outside of London. We’re pleased to be presenting such a great programme, and we look forward to engaging with delegates on the issues currently facing them.”

The conference programme brings together a mix of corporate and charity speakers who will guide delegates through some of the key issues facing finance professionals today. Speakers from PKF, Sayer Vincent, The Children’s Society and The National Trust will share their expert opinion and experience of tax, the SORP, reporting to the trustee board, and risk and reserves.

During the day there will be ample time for delegates to network, and exchange ideas and views on current challenges, and to visit the exhibitor stands. The conference will also support delegates’ personal development plan with five hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The conference is kindly sponsored by PKF.
