CFDG 2010 Annual Conference 'Austerity and Innovation'

6th April 2010

The Charity Finance Directors' Group (CFDG) will hold its 2010 Annual Conference, ‘Austerity and Innovation’, at the QEII Centre on 18 May. CFDG is pleased to announce Geoff Mulgan, Lesley-Anne Alexander and Heather White as the plenary speakers for the conference.

Following on from last year’s conference, this year the focus will be on key strategic and operational issues faced by finance directors and some of the more innovative strategies that charities have adopted in order to position themselves optimally on the long road out of recession. “This is the time when finance directors can really prove value and show real financial leadership,” said Laura James, Conference and Events Manager at CFDG.

In addition to the plenary sessions, there will be five streams for delegates to choose from. Two of these streams will address current issues and updates such as the phasing out of cheques, VAT and risk management. Another stream will focus on ‘valuing people’ and cover topics such as stress management and managing change.
