John Bird to speak at CFDG's Annual Fundraising Dinner

7th September 2010

Charity Finance Directors’ Group (CFDG) is delighted to confirm that John Bird, the accomplished actor and satirist will join them as the after dinner speaker at their Annual Fundraising Dinner on 7 October, 2010, at the InterContinental Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Caron Bradshaw, Chief Executive, CFDG says:  “This will be my first  Annual Dinner as Chief Executive and I’m looking forward to listening to John Bird give what will no doubt be an enjoyable and thought provoking speech, we've got a few surprises this year; something I am sure guests won't find at any other events on the charity calendar.”

The CFDG Annual Dinner is recognised as a highlight of the autumn season and seen as an excellent opportunity for over 500 guests from the charity finance and corporate worlds to meet informally and discuss the issues of the day.  It is also an important date in the CFDG fundraising calendar with a key part of its success being the support of the sponsors; this year Ecclesiastical Insurance Group and Chantrey Vellacott.

The income generated from the event makes a valuable contribution to developing and expanding the professional development, policy and campaigning work CFDG provide to support charity finance professionals.
CFDG’s professional development programme includes conferences, training, membership meetings and best practice guidance for charity finance managers enabling them to build their skills.
