Abstract
This updated Guidance Note is based on articles written for the Charity Finance Yearbook in 1997 and 1998. Pesh Framjee makes the case that the finance function needs to transition from simply processing transactions. The guidance looks at some of the key drivers of change and how to develop the finance function in areas such as risk management, knowledge management, performance measurement and business partnering.
