Continuing Professional Development
Where appropriate to your personal development plan CFG meetings and events can contribute to meeting your Continuing Professional Development needs.
Our programme of free Members’ meetings in London, Northern England, the Midlands and SW & Wales can provide between 12 and 20 hours of CPD a year; our one-day events average a further six hours a day – so attending one training day and the CFG Annual Conference could give you a total of 12 hours of CPD.
Of course, CPD is not limited to structured, face-to-face training and participation in conferences. It can also include reading relevant articles (and indeed writing them), as well as participating in working groups or giving presentations. All of these opportunities are available to CFG members.
If you are not currently a member of a professional body that requires you to maintain CPD, you may want to consider setting your own Continuing Professional Development targets to support your career development. We would encourage all financial professionals to ensure they are well briefed and in touch with emerging issues and trends - and being a member of CFG is a good place to start!
