CFG join with charity infrastructure leaders to call for independent review

Five charity infrastructure leaders, including Clare Mills and Sarah Lomax from CFG, have joined forces to call for an independent review of charity infrastructure in England.

In a new joint blog, Clare and Sarah, alongside Jane Ide OBE (ACEVO), Kate Lee OBE (NCVO) and Maddy Desforges OBE (NAVCA) argue that strong infrastructure is essential to support, connect, develop and strengthen charities, helping them respond to growing demands and an increasingly complex operating environment. The proposed review would examine how infrastructure organisations are funded, structured and delivered, ensuring the sector has the resilient, effective support it needs for the future.

Clare Mills, CFG Co-CEO, said: “If we want charities to thrive, we need strong infrastructure that supports, connects, develops and strengthens the sector. Now is the time to take a fresh look at how that support is delivered.”

Sarah Lomax, CFG Co-CEO, said: “An independent review would help ensure charity infrastructure is fit for the future, with the right functions, funding and structures to meet the sector’s changing needs.”
