CFG is encouraging charities to get Bank Fit for 2026 by strengthening their banking foundations. Read on to find out more...

At CFG, we are acutely aware of the ongoing banking challenges charities face. We are in proactive discussions with charities, banks, government and relevant agencies to better understand these issues and propose practical policy solutions.
Charities themselves play a vital role in this work. By actively keeping information up-to-date, charities can both minimise the risk of banking issues (such as account freezes and late payments) and enable us, and other bodies, to demonstrate that the sector is leading on best practice.
The training programme we’ve devised (the best kind of training where you don’t even have to leave your desk!) will run throughout January and cover all the key facets of fitness: strength, flexibility, speed and endurance. Together, these will help charities to anticipate and prepare for any potential hurdles ahead.
Like most New Year’s resolutions, motivation often starts high and fades quickly. But building a strong foundation lasts longer than you think and makes lifting the weight (of administrative tasks) far easier in future; call it organisational muscle memory.
If you would like a more detailed guide on how to maintain your banking fitness, as well as how to better communicate injuries (the analogy may be beginning to strain) if and when they arise, please read through our 'Communicating with your bank' report.
There are more banking updates coming soon, so watch this space.
